Fun in the Sun

Thursday, I drove over to my parents to drop Maddux off since we were going out of town. A HUGE THANKS to Sara, Ryan and the kids, and Mom/Dad for watching Maddux!!!! I was lucky enough to watch Landon play again. I am so proud of him, he played catcher and did a great job. His team is 13-0!! I also got to meet Jenny at Lenora Park on Thursday afternoon to walk before Landon's game. It was so good to walk and talk, I wish we lived closer. She also let us borrow Corn Hole, which was a HUGE hit!!! Friday morning, I was at the airport by 5:45 AM to pick Josh up we drove straight to Ma and Papa's. Ma made lunch, and it was extra special, because she made all the things I love to eat. That is one of the reasons why she is a great grandma, she makes everyone feel like they are her favorite (I know I really am the favorite :-)! I ate dessert first, lemon cake with icing, yum!! It was good to get to visit with her, Papa and Aunt Sarah, even though it was too short of a visit. We then headed to Alys Beach to stay with Chesed. We got some beach time in on Friday afternoon, then went to dinner at Old Florida Fish House (or something like that). It was very tasty, but we called it an early night since we had been up so long, but not before stopping at this cool coffee shop where Chara works. Thanks for the drinks! That tea was incredible!! Saturday, Josh and I went for a run, then over to Rosemary Beach for a delicious lunch at Wild Olive cafe. I was able to see the development where Chesed works, they were having an open house. Can I just say, when we get rich I am buying a house there. They are incredible!!! I fell in love! I laid on the beach all that afternoon, then Josh and I headed to Destin, to have dinner with my cousin on my Dad's side, Missy and her husband Scott. It was good to visit with them. We spent the night with Auntie and Uncle Chris, along with 14 other people, my cousin Charis/Tony were there with their 6 kids, and Josh and Karin were there with Mario, and Josh's parents came in to spend the night. Thanks to Auntie for letting us crash, and Uncle Chris for a fabulous omelet. Sunday, we (Josh, Tom, Melanie, Chesed, and I) went deep sea fishing with Captain Judah, my cousin! It was SOOO much fun, after we got out and started fishing (the way out I had to fight to keep from chunking everywhere, but I held it together). We caught a ton of fish, and had a great time! Thanks, Judah for letting us drive, and positioning us in the best spots!!! After a long day of fishing, we headed over to Cape San Blas, but not before stopping at Sam's, Moe's, and Publix to get groceries for 35 people for a week. Wow, that was a job!! We arrived around 8:30, and finally got everything unloaded, and a much needed shower. Monday, was a day at the beach. I got out there at 9:00 and stayed out until 4:00 when we came in to make our meal. Tuesday was much of the same, corn hole was played A LOT, and we went out in the kayaks. There were tons of dolphins everyday, so Josh and I got to kayak with the swimming right beside us, one I could have touched it swam so close. It was too cool. We (Josh, Buff, Jim and I) left around 3:30 pm on Tuesday, and after 2 wrong turns which cost us about 1 hour, due to bad directions we finally made it home around 11:30 pm. I was exhausted, and went straight to bed. I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation!!

Please pray for me this week, I am stressing BIG TIME about my last few classes, test on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday...then I'm done for a little while. I really need A's!!
