Playing on the computerThursday night after work we left for Valdosta, we arrived late so all the kiddos were in bed but it was great to see their new house. It is really cute and has a great yard! It was actually cool in Valdosta this weekend. I was expecting warm/hot/humid but it definitely was on the chilly side. I went with Sara to drop the kids off at their new school and we stopped and got some donuts. Landon didn't want me to eat with him, so we came back and ate with Bryce. I got to meet both of their teachers. When we walked in Landon's room he got so red, I think he was embarrassed. I went for a run that afternoon which was supposed to be a short jog, but I got lost in those stupid streets and couldn't find my way back.....i actually stopped at this old ladies house to use the phone. It was rather frustrating! Friday afternoon Tessa and Alex came over and we played, then went to the homecoming parade. It was great to see them, and Mom met us there. Alex and Sydney are almost the same age, and it is so funny watching them interact. Sara made a delicious dinner of country fried steak/mashed potatoes, Josh's favorite! Saturday, we got ready for the birthday parties. We were celebrating Landon's (a little late) and Sydney's. Sara made chili and we opened gifts, ate cake, and visited all morning/afternoon. I was able to sneak away to see my friend Melissa, who just had baby Brecken. It was so good to see her, and hold the sweet little one. She slept the whole time. Saturday night we surprised Ryan, with dinner out at Mori (a Japanese restaurant). A couple of his friends/wives met us up there. He is turning 30 in a next week! After dinner, we were all going bowling but the other 2 couples bailed out so it was just us 4. Josh, Ryan and I had fun, Sara not so much. She couldn't find a specific bowling ball so she pouted the whole time. I actually bowled like 4 -5 strikes and several spares which is really good for me. I'm always hit or miss. We stopped at Chili's on the way home for desert where Ryan got confused on what he wanted, and we got the chocolate chip paradise pie. Oh YUM! Sunday we went to church, had a delicious pita from the Pita Pit (favorite new restaurant!!!), had cookie cake for Ryan's birthday then left to come home. I was able to ride with Mom most of the way, which was nice! It was so good to get to see everyone!! Sara & Ryan, thanks for having us. We had a blast!!

I am glad you AND JOSH were able to come to good ol' Valdosta this weekend. It was fun seeing you both and I know the kids were delighted to have play time with Aunt Summer AND UNCLE JOSH. Come again. :)
