But nothing super exciting is going on. I feel like there is something I haven't blogged about but since I didn't write it on my To Do list I have no idea what it was.
I've been writing a lot of papers for school and it just reinforces my HATE for writing papers. I would rather take tests ALL day long than write a paper. I registered for classes for the summer semester. I really can't believe I only have 2 more semesters of nursing school left. It has passed a LOT quicker than I thought it would.
Work is starting to pick back up, lots of people want to eat outside and enjoy the rooftop when it is nice outside!
I started my peds rotation at CHOA, Scottish Rite. I'm on the 3rd floor where Luke worked as a tech while trying to get into med school. I had met several of the ladies before and it was neat to see them again. They all talked about how much they loved Luke, and Mrs. Kevin kept calling me Little Luke. I am in a pilot program where we are assigned to a nurse and we work their 12 hour shift, well they say 12 hour shift, but it is really more like 13 and we help take care of all their patients. Last Friday was my first shift, I left the house at 5:50 am and didn't leave the hospital until 7:45 pm. I was wiped out. I enjoyed it and feel like I am going to learn a lot more in this setting than a traditional clinical setting because the nurse is constantly talking to me about what she is doing, why, etc. Plus we are taking care of 4 patients, instead of 1.
Anywho, better go this post is so boring it is putting me to sleep. Sorry :-)

Always love your blogs. They are never boring to me. I don't know about those 13 hour shifts. I'm glad you are working where people knew and loved Luke. I was so excited to get the pads for you today. You and Josh are fixed for Deep Creek now.
I love to have the updates.Remeber they love some Chili Frito Corn Salad!!! Don't forget to send me your summer schedule. Thanks. Hope all is well. Love MOM
Yay! Thank you for blogging! It's great to catch up with you!
See you soon!
Not at all boring. I have always been impressed with the nurses who work such long hours. It must be awful fatigue wise, but it is wonderful for us as patients to have the same person checking on us hour after hour. The downside for the patient is the good thing for the nurse...losing a caregiver you have become attached to for so many days in a row. Of course with such short term hosp. stays now, I guess patients might be dismissed before you returned. Thanks for the update. :)
bummed i missed you saturday...let's do it again soon, when you're home!
