Daddy and Mom
Last night after the baby shower, Luke, Josh and Maddux picked me up and we headed over to my parents house for a "going away" dinner for Ryan, Sara and the kids. They are moving back to Valdosta this coming Thursday. Selfishly, I am REALLY not excited about this move. It means my favorite kiddos in the world are now 4.5 hours away instead of 1. Needless to say, I will be traveling to Valdosta a lot more than I have been, so I'll get to see a lot of my old friends more, which is good. I know it is horrible but Ryan cooked his going away meal. We had bbq and hot wings, pork pieces that he had grilled that were fabulous. We had a good salad, with yellow tomatoes, red tomatoes, advocado and cucumber and this roasted potatoes, carrots and onion that were delicious. We also had fresh fruit, and one of my favorites cooked plantains. Sara had requested grape fanta homemade ice cream, it wasn't one of my favorites but Sara and the kids loved it. Samuel, Luke and I decided it tasted like either children's tylenol (grape flavor) or flinstone vitamins. After dinner we were all stuffed, I got to see all of Sara's pictures from the Ukraine and watch the video. The boys played baseball outside. We also had a short photo shoot. Ryan took more pictures with their camera so Sara will probably be posting those soon. (Hint, Hint)

Sunday afternoon, Courtney and I carpooled to one of our friends baby shower. Devanie and I met my freshman year. We were in the same freshman seminar class and we hit it off. The shower food was great, and I got some really good ideas for games and different ways to decorate diaper cakes. She is due in September with a boy, to be named Jake. She got a ton of stuff!!
I'm playing mixed doubles on our alta tennis team as well and I was in the lineup for Saturday morning. I play Line 5, for those that don't know a lot about tennis, you have 5 Lines, and line 1 is the best. Line 1 always play first and it goes in order to Line 5. So I'm always the last to play which means I don't get on the court until 11:30ish which = HOT!!! We finally won after 3 sets, (I really need to learn to win in straight sets!!) so we didn't finish up until around 2:15. Ugh! We got 1st place in our division, so we start the tournament this weekend.
Got some pool time in after the tennis match and then Lindsey, James, Josh and I tried a new restaurant in Roswell that early afternoon for dinner. It was really yummy!! It's called The Union. Then Lindsey and I watched a movie, The Other Boeyln Girl, which was kind of disturbing.

What a cute tennis outfit, Summer!!?!?!?! Those are ALL great pictures!
Thanks for all the pictures. Love you MOM
Now Summer, it made me tear up to read your blog about the kids leaving. Remember, you are welcome here ANYTIME. Just bring food. LOL We will make a space for you and Josh and of course Maddox.
I'll second Rosemary's comment! You are welcome at our house, too. We have an extra room and usually not far from all the activity!
That is the cutest cake and diaper cake, too. We will have to remember these ideas. Love you MOM
