Happy New Year!!!

I can't believe that 2008 is already here. To be honest I am glad to see 2007 come to a close, as it has not been the greatest year for us. It seems that everything that we wanted for this year did not come to be. I guess it was just not God's plan for us, and I need to trust that his timing is perfect, but sometimes that is really hard. Don't get me wrong we are blessed in so many ways but sometimes I focus on the 'what didn't happen'. I am very thankful for my wonderful family and incredible friends. I don't know what I would do without their love and support.

Oh, and by the way for those that don't know I am going back to school starting Friday. I am taking my prereqs to get into nursing school which will hopefully start next spring. I am a little nervous about going back to school and studying again after 4 years but hopefully I will get back into the swing of things quickly. I am taking 4 classes this quarter and still working so it will be a busy few months.

About our New Years festivities....on Sunday we left for a cabin in the North Georgia Mountains where we met 6 other couples. We got back this afternoon after a little shopping at the outlets in Dawsonville. We had a wonderful time!! Each couple had a meal assigned to them so we ate really well. I love getting together with my girlfriends. It is so refreshing to just visit, laugh and talk. We also played a new game called corn-hole, courtesy of Jenny and Brandon. It was so much fun. You toss bean bags full of corn to a platform with a hole in it the goal is to get it in the hole or on the platform. I loved it. I think we are going to try and make us one. I took lots of pictures which I will try and post tomorrow. But now, I am going to bed.

wow, I didn't realize nursing school was going to happen so quickly. I am excited for you. That is one of those jobs I would love to do, but know I just can't. I can see you as a nurse...what specific area do you want to go into?
Are you coming to Homecoming? It is Jan. 12th.
Talk to you soon.
Love
Melissa
