Me, Amy & Suzie The 'Girls'
So I have this group of really close girlfriends from college. There are 10 of us and luckily we all still live in the Atlanta area (or surrounding cities). Several of us (7 to be exact) are married and the first one of us is having a baby on April 18th (by c-section). Amy told us in September that she was having a baby on so today we had a big shower for her. It was so much fun visiting with everyone. We laugh a lot. It was at Suzie's house so I went over to spend the night yesterday after I got out of class. We had a fabulous time hanging out and buying all the food/decorations we needed for today. We made thes cupcakes that we had so much fun decorating and we were supposed to have a wonderful chocolate fountain, but I let someone borrow my chocolate fountain and they broke it and did not tell me (GRRRRR)!!! But other than that things went smoothly. Amy got a ton of stuff! Suzie made this really cool diaper wreath (I am stealing that idea for the next shower that I throw). We are really excited that we have started a new phase from wedding showers to baby showers and for the 3 that aren't married yet we will gladly go back and celebrate your weddings :-) Oh, and I have to brag on these girls. They all really went above and beyond on their gifts. Sarah handmade this blanket that was AWESOME. Suzie crafted a scrapbook and had Paxton monogrammed on it, Stegall got a onsie that said "Daddy's Little Wingman", Jenny got the cutest overalls that were so soft, Lauryn put together a basket with tons of cool goodies including the cutest winnie the poo sleeper, Jami got her some really cute sports baby towels, Courtney got her a mirror so she could look at little Paxton while driving and Caroline got the cutest bibs with a P (for Paxton) monogrammed on them, and the sweetest little puppy shoes. Okay enough. Oh, one more thing, Thanks Mom, Sara and Mrs. Maureen for all the help. We couldn't have gotten it all done without yall! I really enjoyed this weekend and the party, and I can't wait for Paxton to get here!
