Friday morning at 5:30 am, we are up and heading to breakfast with Mom, Daddy, Sydney (who were heading to Bradford, TN for Father's Day) and Luke. We ate at Cracker Barrel, but I really wasn't hungry that early in the morning. Josh, Maddux and I hit the road for Charleston after a quick stop at Starbucks. We stopped and had lunch somewhere in South Carolina with Josh's parents, and arrived in Charleston around 1:30. We got a little beach time in that day, and hit the sack pretty early b/c we had gotten up so early. We got up early to run on the beach which was fabulous! A little humid/hot, but softer and prettier than concrete. I ran 6 then came back to the house and Caroline was about to leave so I ran 3 more with her. I haven't run that much in 1 day in a while, but I felt pretty good. Saturday was our splurge day, so fixed delicous Shrimp and Grits for brunch, snacked mid afternoon on chips and salsa, and then got dressed up to go to dinner at this old Navy place down on the water. It was fabulous! Then we were finally able to get into the Rooftop bar, last time they denied us b/c the boys had on flip flops. It was a fun night! Sunday was more of the beach, which was wonderful. I finished 2 books while I was there. Sunday night, Josh cooked steak and veggies which was good and then Caroline and I took the dogs down to walk on the beach and play in the water. They LOVED it! Especially Maddux! Thanks Caroline and Blake for letting us stay! Here are a few of my favorite pics.
