Labor Day Weekend

This was on our way home. Maddux didn't have much room because we had the corn hole boards. Please pray for him. He had seizures on Sunday. It was SO scarey! I took him for a run that morning, and about 20 minutes after we got back he got up was very wobbly and then proceeded to have 3 cluster seizures. He has never had anything like that so I was freaking out! His body went rigid, his eyes were super dilated and he just keep pawing/rolling over. It was awful. We got the number for an emergency vet and they said to bring him in, but he got better and was fine all afternoon. Then after the birthday party he had 2 more seizures so I wanted to take him to the vet. We did, they did blood work and ruled out anything heat related and poison. It was so weird. They said he might have epilepsy. He might never have another one or he could have them once a month, once a year or whatever. I am going to follow up with our regular vet tomorrow. For those that don't know, Maddux is my baby. Please pray he doesn't have any more of these episodes.

Maddux and I left on Thursday around 2:30 for Valparaiso. When I finally arrived at Ma and Papa's, they had dinner on the table and I got to visit with them, Auntie/Uncle Chris, Aunt Sarah and Cheri. Friday morning, I went to the gym on the base with Ma, Papa and the mayor's wife. It was great. I was very impressed with their workouts! We hung out and then drove to the beach house and had some lunch. I laid out by the pool and hung out with Jon (my cousin) until we met Chesed for sushi in Baytown at 5:30. After dinner we stopped by Publix to pick up some snacks/lunch stuff for the weekend and then went back to the beach house to wait for everyone to get there. Mick and Stephanie were first to arrive, shortly after we got back. Then Suzie and Brad, and finally Amy, Brad and Paxton. Saturday morning the guys went deep sea fishing with Judah (thanks to Brad D.'s prompting). They had a lot of fun and caught 60 lbs of fish. Maddux and I went for a run, then all the girls except for Amy (she and Pax were sleeping in) walked over to Target and shopped and got Starbucks. We hung out by the pool until the boys got back then we went to the beach. We played corn hole (our boards ROCK, thanks JENNY AND BRANDON) and had a blast. Brad D. cooked dinner with Mick's help. It was so yummy. Sunday is when we had the drama with Maddux, but I did get some beach/pool time in. We also had Mario's first birthday party, which was fun and crazy. We went to eat at Fisherman's Wharf on Sunday night. Thanks to MOM and Ma for watching Paxton. We had a great time. We got some rain/wind on Sunday night and then today we drove back. I think the drive home for vacation takes SOOO long. Oh, and the beach house was WONDERFUL. If you are looking to visit Destin you should check it out. (Look under Beach House on my links). It was so convenient to the beach/stores/restaurants and very roomy with a wonderful view.
