We had a pretty busy weekend, but I am going to break them up into different posts (for you Jenny :-) Friday around 1:30 we headed to Rome for the annual berry baseball alumni weekend. We got into town and ate lunch at our favorite place, Schroeders. I went to the mall to try and find something to wear that night (I forgot how HORRIBLE the Mt Berry Mall was) and Josh visited the baseball field. Then we headed to the wonderful Days Inn to get ready. We met at El Zarape for happy hour with people who got into town early. It was great to see everyone. We had dinner at Berry's Ford Dining Hall at 7:00 with all the current players and alumni. The alumni got up and told stories of the old days, and we had lots of laughs. Afterwards there was a meet/greet at Schroeders for just the alumni. It was great to see some old friends, but we missed several key people that couldn't make it! We went downtown after that to McCrobies (it's changed names several times) and watched a cover band. You could tell we were with the locals. It was some good people watching. One of the guys in the band had the best mullet ever, unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of it. But it was long (waist length) and curly. Awesome! Saturday morning I got up and came home early because I had things to do, but Josh had golf and the alumni baseball game so he didn't get home until Sunday. That sums up Friday, and I'll post more this week about the rest of the weekend!
