PapaToday is the sweetest man in the world's birthday, my Papa! He is a WWII veteran, and he is so proud of the fact that he was able to serve his country, he even was wounded so he has a purple heart. I remember growing up and going to visit them he would show us his battle scar and tell us great stories. He always had the best dreams, and when we would wake up we would go get in bed with them and he would tell us all about his latest dream. He would always make fresh popcorn which was delicious, and he would always have ice cream ready and waiting for us. He would also take us down to the bank when we visited to "show us off" to his friends down at the bank. He adores Meme, and when he looks at her, it just melts my heart because you can still see that he thinks she is the most beautiful woman in the whole world. He never meets a stranger! He can talk to anyone and enjoys doing it. He makes me laugh, and he always smells like old spice. I could go on and on, because he really is one of the greatest men I know! I love you Papa. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And like I said on the phone, you have at least 20 more years to go....

Now that I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. I can also relate to the memories you have mentioned. You are right, he does adore meme and smells like ole spice, LOL. Aren't we blessed to have them in our lives?!
