Sunday was my Mom's 55th birthday! I am a little late in blogging about it, but better late than never, right? A lot of people say that I look like my Mom, which is a compliment but I hope I also got some of her character traits. She is thoughtful. She remembers little things, and sends little notes of encouragement to people for reasons, or for no reason at all. I remember growing up she was always taking food to people that were sick, had a baby or a death in the family. She is organized, maybe a little OCD (she organized/alphabetized her spices :-). She LOVES her family and would do anything in the world for them. She is a clean freak.....I DEFINITELY did not get this from her. I hate cleaning, but she loves it. She is caring and compassionate. Just last week, while her & Daddy were out of town for Thanksgiving, she let this family that she hardly knows stay in their house. They have a daughter with a brain injury that Mom & Daddy started visiting while they were in the hospital in Atlanta. She is fun and loves to laugh. I need to figure out how to post a video to this blog of her & Auntie doing their talent for the thanksgiving talent show. She loves Jesus and puts Him first in everything she does. She hates making decisions about where to eat or what to do (this is not me), I think this is just because she is selfless. She wants the other person to be happy. Anywho, this blog is all over the place and there are hundreds of more traits but gotta wrap this up. Mom, you are one of my best friends! Thanks for being such a great example. I hope when I become a mom that I am half the mom you are! I love you!!!

LOVE YA! Auntie
Happy Birthday, I miss the old days at GCS elementary, I still remember when you and Gina cleaned out that mess of a closet/catch all/firetrap in her classroom. Anyway, happy 55th year--all year long and I am still older than you! XO God bless you, girlfriend
I remember when Jess was born and we had to go to Augusta with her. Your Mom showed up at the hospital with a bag full of "necessary items" for our week in Augusta. She is a great lady and you are all lucky to have her as your Mom!
Great post about your mom and very well put! Happy belated 55th, Mary Jo! We ALL love you!
