We had our second alta tennis practice last night and the coach finally showed up. Yeah!! She drives a HUGE bright yellow Hummer that says Tonka on the back. She is not what I would except a normal tennis pro/coach to be. She had on the sweatpants pulled down like she was "busting a sag" and her hat was turned sideways like she was a wanna be brother. But she was funny. We did drills for 1 hour and she kept us moving, which I liked....a little extra calorie burn. I am going to try and practice some on my own this week. Our first match is Sunday, but I am not sure I will be playing in it. We have a LOT of girls on the team, and apparently only 10 people (5 double teams) play every week. Our captain said we would each get to play at least 2 matches. I was a little disappointed with that, but what can you do. I'll keep you posted since I know you all are waiting with baited breath!
UPDATE: Just got an email from our captain forwarding an email from the coach. Apparently she lives to far away and so she can't coach us. We are not having good luck with coaches. Oh well....
