The House of DreamsFriday was a good day! I had lunch with my friend Melissa and her daughter Kayden as they were driving through going to see Bob. It was so good to see them and Kayden is to cute. She was really funny!! After that I drove to Rome to visit with Caroline and go back to the old alumni Berry College. They just finished a HUGE, wonderful gym and rec center. It is AWESOME! I just wish that it had been there when we were in school.....maybe I would have worked out more?? Another first for me was going to the House of Dreams. Yes for the 3 people from Berry that read my blog, I had never been in my 4 years of college. Caroline and I hiked up and it was so neat. For you non Berry folks, the House of Dreams is a house that the students built for Martha Berry (the founder of Berry) on top of a mountain. The weather was beautiful and the house and grounds were so quaint. I loved it, and I definitely want to go back. Caroline and I had dinner at Harvest Moon (YUM) and then went back to her house in Cartersville. We were going to go to the SEC tourney but decided not to, thank goodness now b/c there were tornados all around. Some of our friends live in some lofts in Atlanta that had a lot of damage. Thank goodness they were not hurt!

It is so pretty up there. That is such a beautiful campus. I am happy you were able to spend time with friends.

Papa sure would have enjoyed being with you on that hike. He would have been looking for deer. He still talks about all those deer he saw at Berry. Someone told me they had changed the name of Berry. Know anything about that?

I can't believe you have never been to the House of Dreams before this past weekend! I hike up there at least once a year -- it is great!
The tornados were pretty scary this weekend. I imagine you are referring to Ben & Lauryn in your blog?? I will have to email her. One tornado touched down a mile from our house but luckily we didn't have any damage! We had HUGE hail storms too!

I actually had the thought of going to Rome on Friday...I'm going to try and get up there soon-it just makes me happy! The House of Dreams is so peaceful and pretty! Glad you and Caroline enjoyed some girl time-and Harvest Moon! I love that place!
What a beautiful place. It looks like you guys had a good time. I am glad you decided against going to the tourney. I saw where the tornado damaged the Georgia dome.
Who's this Kayden kid? She must have the coolest relatives ever because she is stinkin cute!
I hereby revoke your college diploma. You didn't deserve it if you never visited the House of Dreams while you were a student. Sorry.
